Overview

Fluconazole is an antifungal medicine used to treat vaginal thrush. The most common cause of fungal infections is Candida Albicans.

Who cannot take Fluconazole?

  • A blood disorder (Porphyria)
  • Previous heart disease including heart rhythm
  • If you have had a previous allergy to Fluconazole
  • Kidney or liver problems
  • A blood test which shows abnormal levels of potassium, calcium, or magnesium

How does Fluconazole Capsules work?

Fluconazole blocks the ability of Candida to reproduce for those suffering from thrush. Fluconazole is used to get rid of the yeast infection in this way.

Fluconazole Capsules dosage

Fluconazole capsules are taken as a single dose with or without food. The capsule needs to be swallowed whole with a drink of water.  Please follow your doctors or pharmacist’s advice before taking this medication.
