Vaniqa Cream

For some women it can be distressing when they have thick dark hair on their face.  This is a condition knows as hirsutism. Vaniqa has been manufactured and approved to be used in this condition and contains the medication called Eflornithine.

Vaniqa works by acting on the base of the hair follicle where it reduces growth by acting on enzymes which are specific for hair growth. Vaniqa acts at the source unlike other hair removal creams which only dissolve existing hair.

Vaniqa is licensed for use on the face only. A thin layer of the cream is applied twice a day ideally 8 hours a part. The area of skin needs to be clean and dry; the cream is applied thinly until it disappears. For best results, the skin should not be washed for 4 hours after application. For effective results to be seen it can take up to 2 – 4 months. You should stop applying Vaniqa if positive results are not seen after 4 months.
