Fybogel Mebeverine Sachets

Fybogel Mebeverine sachets are used to treat constipation which is associated with Irritable bowel syndrome. It contains two active ingredients Mebeverine and Ispaghula husk.

Who cannot take Fybogel Mebeverine?

• Those with compressed and hardened faeces causing blockage of the bowel.
• Children under 12 years of age
• If you have had a previous allergic reaction to Fybogel Mebeverine
• Those with an inactivity in the intestines or blockage in the gut
• Those with weakness in the muscle of the bowel wall
• Fybogel contains aspartame so is not suitable for those suffering from phenylketonuria.

Fybogel Mebeverine sachets increases fibre in your diet. Fibre helps aid the digestive system to work more efficiently and relieve constipation in a natural way. Mebeverine is an antispasmodic and works by relaxing the muscles in the walls of the intestines, reducing painful muscle spasms in the gut, and therefore relieving the symptoms associated with Irritable bowel syndrome. Ispaghula husk is a bulk forming laxative which swells when in contact with fluid in the gut therefore increasing the volume of faeces and relieving constipation.

The sachets are usually taken morning and evening with a third dose only if necessary, at midday. The sachets are mixed with 150ml of water and drank immediately.
