How does Colofac (Modified Release) Capsules work?

Irritable bowel syndrome can cause pain, spasms, cramps, wind, bloating and diarrhoea or constipation. Being an antispasmodic, the tablets work by relaxing the muscles in the walls of the intestines, reducing painful muscle spasms in the gut, and therefore relieving the symptoms associated with Irritable bowel syndrome.

It is best to take the capsules 20 minutes before a meal. The usual dose is one tablet twice a day which is preferably taken at breakfast and dinner.
