Eumovate Cream

Eumovate cream contains the steroid medication clobetasone butyrate. It is used to treat a variety of skin conditions such as eczema, rashes, and dermatitis. Being a steroid based cream Eumovate is used to treat swelling, itching and irritation of the skin.

Who cannot use Eumovate?

• Have a skin infection.
• Have acne or rosacea.
• If you have had a previous allergic reaction to Eumovate
• Have an eye infection.
• Have broken skin, cuts or itchy skin that is not inflamed or red.

Within the skin cells Eumovate stops the release of inflammatory substances and by doing so reduces swelling, itching and redness associated with eczema.

The usual dosage of Eumovate cream is to apply sparingly twice a day for no more then 7 days. With steroid creams the amount to use is usually indicated as the fingertip unit amount. One fingertip unit amount is from the top of your index finger to the first bend/crease. A single fingertip unit amount covers an area roughly double the size of the palm on your hand.
