Differin Gel

Differin gel contains the medication Adapalene which is used in the treatment of acne on the face, chest or back. It has an anti-inflammatory effect reducing irritation, soreness, and blackheads.

Who cannot use Differin?

• If you have had a previous allergy to Differin
• Pregnant.

Differin gel is usually prescribed in early acne. It works on skin that has become oilier due to hormonal changes or to other changes that block the pores on your skin. It is the blocked pores that usually cause acne. Differin gel is an anti-inflammatory and works by unblocking the pores which leads to less inflammation, blackheads, whiteheads, and mild spots.

Before going to bed apply a thin layer of the gel to freshly washed and dry skin. It can take up to four weeks to start seeing a noticeable difference to your skin. Please follow your doctors or pharmacist’s advice before taking this medication.
